Ohio v KY/IN Ryder Cup

History of the "Chalice of Champions" Trophy

The Chalice has been dubbed the trophy that travels down the banks of the Ohio River and is inscribed with the words" A friendly yet spirited rivalry contested every two years along the golf links of the Ohio Valley between the Bluegrass and Buckeye States". The Ryder Cup has evolved over the years as the tour has grown across the Tri-State to include Indiana who teams with Kentucky against Ohio. The rivalry has been renewed in recent years and has grown in popularity amongst players turning into an annual event that rotates between teams each year.
